“This painting is inspired by white still lifes of Giorgio Morandi and Imants Vecozols. White color is probably the most interesting to paint because white objects can be painted almost any color and still be perceived as white. The reason for this is that white objects fully reflect the light and being so reflective they depend on the lighting and the color of surrounding objects the most. Like the white snow in winter which is orange in the sun and light blue in the shadows.”
This is an original oil painting on canvas panel.
